AMCHAM GALA AWARD WINNERS 2023
ST.REGIS HOTEL, SATURDAY EVENING 27 MAY
The Annual AmCham Spring Awards Gala was held Saturday evening in Astana at the St. Regis Hotel – as always, a glittering, exciting evening with champagne, live music, an excellent St. Regis Dinner, and the anticipation of the Awards Ceremony after Dinner. The Ceremony presented 14 Awards in total – two Honorary Awards and twelve Awards adjudicated by an impartial Selection Committee.
The Ceremony was conducted by two Masters of Ceremonies: Canadian Ambassador Alan Hamson and Citibank CEO SauleZhakayeva, Winner of the 2022 Women’s Leadership Award. Ambassador Hamson opened the Ceremony with the presentation of the AmCham Honorary Public Service Award to National Bank Governor Galymzhan Pirmatov, who attended the Gala from beginning to end, accepting the Award with a graceful speech at the podium.
The second Honorary Award was presented by U.S. Embassy Charge d’affaires Judy Kuo who outlined the achievements of Science and Higher Education Minister Sayasat Nurbek, Winner of the Honorary U.S. Ambassador’s Award for Best Contribution to U.S.-Kazakhstan Relations.
The following Awards were adjudicated Awards chosen by an impartial Selection Committee – 12 Awards chosen from among 65 Nominations for AmCham Member projects, services, and innovative achievements. Bronze engraved plaques were presented to each Winner at the podium by one of the many Ambassadors and IFI Heads who attended the Gala:
