The British Embassy in Astana, the United Nations Development Programme and the International Institute for Environment and Development are holding a one-day workshop to discuss key issues currently affecting Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector. The workshop will take place on 29 April 2009 at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Astana.
Participants will include representatives of the government, investors and NGOs.
The event aims to: - introduce the project to a broad range of stakeholders - discuss the current investment climate and important issues in the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan
To maximize free exchange of ideas, discussions will take place under the Chatham House Rule of nonattribution. Discussion will be in Russian and English with simultaneous translation.
