Dear Members,
An essential right of all AmCham members is nominating and voting for candidates for the AmCham Board of Directors. This process takes place in two parts:
1. Nominations for Board positions – December 7 2011 - January 13 2012
2. Voting for nominees to fill Board positions – January 16 - January 26 2012
Attached are:
· A Nominations Form on which candidates may be nominated with three supporting signatures. If you wish to nominate a candidate, please complete the form and return it with the required supporting signatures to the AmCham office by January 13, 2012
· A Current List of Board Members. Three (3) Board seats are currently open, one due departure of the Vice-President and two up for renewal. Those members with stars next to their names are up for re-election, making a total of three (3) Board seats to be filled. You may re-nominate current Board members or nominate new candidates.
Important: Only AmCham member companies/organizations may hold Board seats. The Board composition cannot include more than one member from a given company.
We wish to suggest the following factors that would make a well-balanced and representative AmCham Board of Directors:
· Gender Balance - nominations for women are welcomed
· Regional Representation - nominations for candidates from outside Almaty are welcomed
· Industry Sector Diversity - nominations from companies in different industry sectors are welcomed
The final ballot will be composed of all nominees meeting the above criteria. The ballot will be sent out to AmCham member CEOs for voting in mid-January.
Results will be announced at the January 27, 2012 AmCham Annual General Meeting.
