Booz Allen Hamilton (www.boozallen.com), a worldwide, U.S. - based consulting firm, seeks an accountant (or accountancy firm) who possesses the background required to fulfill financial support requirements for both local tax accounting and filings.

Key Role:

Provide general tax and financial support to Booz Allen Hamilton – Astana office, work closely with the Booz Allen Hamilton management team and Regional Financial Manager.

Desired Capabilities and Functional/Industry Knowledge:

• 5+ years of experience of working as a statutory accountant;
• Familiarity with the requirements of local Tax Code;
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Internationally-recognized certifications strongly preferred (CPA, CAP/CIPA)
• Knowledge of accounting software in Kazakhstan;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Fluency in Russian required; Working proficiency in English strongly preferred, and Kazakh language proficiency is welcomed;
• Position is part-time (about 10 hours per week), but may expand to half-time or full-time as the office expands.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and salary history, based on the part-time schedule agreed at time of hire. Benefits include U.S. based training opportunities.
• Position is based in Astana, Kazakhstan. Applicants must be Kazakh citizens or have all applicable work permits. Relocation will not be provided for this position.
