AmCham is seeking a Program Officer for the Public-Private Economic Partnership Initiative (PPEPI).
The PPEPI Program Officer will work with the Emerging Markets Development Advisors Program Fellow (EMDAP) and report to the AmCham Executive Director. The primary role of the Program Officer (PO) will be to assist the American Chamber of Commerce with PPEPI operations.
The PO will be responsible for PPEPI organizational activities such as:
- Organizing AmCham and PPEPI Working Group meetings and reporting on their work to the EMDAP Fellow and AmCham Executive Director - Organizing materials for a variety of AmCham and PPEPI Working Groups and Coordinating Committee meetings - Maintaining contact with AmCham and PPEPI Working Group chairs to ensure delivery of minutes and or other reports related to AmCham or PPEPI function - Communicating with applicants applying for the Executive Exchange program and assistance in coordinating collection and preparation of applications for review by Selection Committee
Qualifications (desired skills):
- A Bachelors Degree from a recognized university abroad
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong academic qualifications to support research on trade, investment and public policy
- Self-starter, willing to take the initiative
- Willingness to learn about the Kazakhstan business environment
- Solid knowledge of Russian language that will enable development of conversational and reading skills.
